Tree At Monticello

All was green under the sheltering limbs of a tree on the grounds of Monticello. Although it does not date all the way back to the time of Thomas Jefferson, this one proves that age can also bring majesty. I stood for a while admiring the twisted branches and noticed how quiet it was when standing within those branches. Blue-green light turned golden, backlit by the sun. How wonderful to be surrounded by all that green.
