Community Garden
In every season, I walk past the community garden. Right now, everything is lush and green. Impossibly tall sunflowers wave in the breeze. I stand by the tall chain link fence and marvel at the colors of the zinnias. A lady working in her plot comes running over with a bag. “Please take these tomatoes—I have way too many!” In the bag are dozens of cherry tomatoes the color of the sunflowers and black eyed susans. Nature’s bounty.
